Aiken Republican Club

The Aiken Republican Club is a social club which provides an opportunity for politically minded citizens to gather and discuss current political issues. The club holds monthly meetings, usually for lunch. Meetings always include a featured speaker or speakers who may be public officials, candidates, or subject matter experts. The club has hosted visits from the Aiken City and County Councils; SC House and Senate; SC Governor, Treasurer and Secretary of State; as well as members of the US Senate and House of Representatives. Once a year, the club schedules an SC legislative update from the Republican representatives in the Aiken area delegation. Near elections, the club schedules Republican Party candidates, either individually or together, in debate format. Recent meetings featured a homeland security update by Chief Robert Stewart, SLED/SC Homeland Security and a judicial update from US Attorney General for SC, Reginald I. Lloyd. Also, the club has recently been trying to schedule 2008 Republican presidential candidates. The club provides a forum for candidates to discuss issues. It does not endorse or support any individual candidate or position. Annual membership dues in the ARC are $20 per person and $35 per couple. Meetings and speakers are announced via email approximately two weeks before a meeting.

Membership in Aiken Republican Club:

  • Member: $20.00
  • Couple: $35.00
